New Due Date

Mommy went to the doctor on the 8th and doc. moved my expected delivery date to April 30th, however I am not sure if I will arrive on this date or not, I am very indecisive. Our next appointment is on Feb. 5th.

Last week Mommy registered us at St. John's, where I plan on being born. She and Daddy also registered for a class at St. John's that starts in Feb, the class will teach Mommy and Daddy about my birth, taking care of me and feeding me.

As far as my nursery goes, Mommy and Daddy have purchased my furniture, but not all of it has arrived yet. Daddy is still working on the wall in my nursery so soon as that gets completed we are ready to roll. About a week ago, Aunt Ann gave Mommy and Daddy a ton of cool stuff from my cousins that I will get to use too. Thank you Taylors! Mommy started to register for me online at Babies-R-Us, but after being in the store this weekend she may have to revamp her list.

I am a BOY!

Mommy and Daddy found out on December 23rd that I am a boy, my name is Garrett William Shirley. While the tech was taking pictures of me that day, they not only discovered that I am a boy but that I am growing and developing on schedule. I tried to be really funny while I was on film by throwing my hands around a whole bunch and then crossing my ankles as my daddy does when he is relaxing. I have been moving around now for a couple weeks but just lately I have become a lot more active and now mommy and daddy both have felt me moving. Daddy says that I am most likely taking after mommy with all my moving about, he claims if I was taking after him I would be sleeping a lot more and not moving about as much.

With the help from a lot of family, mostly my Uncle Willie and Jason, mommy and daddy's basement is completed. I can't wait to roll around on that soft carpet and climb up and down those stairs like my cousins Grace and Graham have tested out for me already! In addition, Daddy and my Papa Reimer have worked hard and nearly completed building my new wall to my nursery. Thanks to everyone for all your hard work I know it will make our home a most comfy living space for mommy, daddy and me.

Mommy goes to the doctor again on January 8th and is still feeling good, aside from the few aches and pains from me growing. I will keep you posted after her next appointment.

4 Months

Mommy is on her 16th week of pregnancy. I have been around for 4 months now! We can all hardly believe it. Mommy and I did not start off on the right foot, lets just say she wasn't at all thrilled about my arrival due to her nauseating life, literally. It took us about 3 months to come to an agreement and mommy feels much better. Mommy has gained a couple of pounds and is showing just a little. She is starting to get back to her regular lifestyle, however I did hear mommy say to daddy the other day that she just wished she could have a drink. Since she is feeling so much better now she is wanting to get her drink on! This is a part of her lifestyle that she has to continue to do without, she will forgive me I am sure of it! :)

Daddy is doing great! He is doing a wonderful job at taking care of me and mommy. He is currently working very hard at work and at fixing our basement in his spare time so their will be more room for me to play when I get home. Thanks daddy for all your hard work.

Mommy has a regular doctor's appointment on Dec. 11th then mommy and daddy will find out if I will be a boy or a girl on Dec. 23rd, they can't wait!
